When an author writes a story, he hears only one person - himself. But there are dozens of characters, each yearning to use their voice. So it is essential to listen to them all, to understand - whether they’re alive, deprived of personality, speak too plainly, or their lines sound artificial.
Professional screenwriters and writers know that a dubbed text reveals errors that are difficult to see when reading text. Even great scripts can have issues! Sometimes, it's hard to pinpoint a script's problems until you hear it out loud. Whether it's stiff dialogue, boring stretches, or plot moves that don't make sense, sometimes it takes a table read to determine where a story needs work.
Imagine that you can create an audio version of your text, read by multiple voices that matches all actors’ personalities, accents, tonality, and inflections. Imagine that instead of spending days or weeks organizing a table read with actors, you can do that online within minutes and for the cost of a cup of coffee. All this is possible with the Dialogues AI tool.
Simply put, Dialogues AI can bring your dialogue to life. So how does it work?
Kickstart your journey by introducing your text using a variety of methods: type it in, upload a document, dictate it, transcribe it from audio or video, recognize it from an image, or scrape it from a webpage. With the power of AI at your disposal, you can effortlessly write and create dialogues on any topic under the sun, even translating them into any language.
Create actors who will read the text. They can speak different languages and have different accents. Choose voices that match your vision.

Here are some tips to help you create dialogue
-
Write dialogue that is true to your character's voice; make them sound like real people. Remember who they are (education, socioeconomic status) and who they speak to (friends, family, kids, etc.) makes a big difference. Punctuation must also feel natural. All of these aspects help to make each character's voice unique.
-
The dialogue should advance the plot and serve a purpose—every detail of a screenplay matters. Characters should be intentional with their words, and the dialogue should push the story forward. Remember to show, don't tell. We don't receive information if we don't see it in action or hear it in dialogue.
-
Write realistic dialogue that sounds natural through subtext. Watch how people talk and form their sentences. This studious work will ensure that the dialogue is natural and realistic. Avoid dialogue that is too on the nose; don’t have the characters directly say what they're thinking. Leave room for tension. Think on how we interact with people on a regular basis.
No matter its purpose, dialogue needs to be concise. No one wants to hear John the baker go on and on for pages about his grocery list. So if you want to write effective dialogue, keep it sharp, focused, and to the point.
